I lay in my bed
Sun pouring through the glass.
Mind going off like popcorn on the stove,
Not hot just popping.
Released from the fear,
if only for a moment.
I lay dreaming and dozing,
writing with my eyes closed.
Remembering things long forgotten,
Collecting the wealth.
The rain barrel is refilling.
